INTRODUCTION

SELF ORGANIZATION: DESIGN THROUGH MAKING

Use of complexity theories in organic forms

Prototyping was the key step in checking the physical analysis on existing façades. The one that I chose was based on fractal codes, which can be made in different scales and different materials. This prototype works as a water generator that can use rain water in order to enhance the process of mycelium growth. These physical simulation strategies help us create many physical prototyping strategies intended to aid designers in understanding the relational dynamic between natural material and form for building facades at the conceptual design stage. The main prototyping strategy consists of three main concepts:

1. A prototyping phase involving a computer-aided modeling CAM

2. A physical additive

3. A virtual simulation phase

NATURAL SYSTEMS AND BIOMIMICRY

BIO INSPIRED COMPUTATION DATA SPACES

In this work, we'll discuss an approach towards proving that Biomimicry in infrastructure can indeed improve our environment and exert a significant influence on nature and any human life form. Inspiration from nature gives us designers and architects incentive to promote energy-saving methods to better suit the environment. There are two methods to determine ways to analyze an issue: the top-down and bottom-up approaches. These approaches discuss the complexity of architectural buildings and the way nature has learned to achieve the most efficient multifunctional structures at its maximum optimization. This project introduces the fundamental facts of life-sustaining systems and nature in a broad context, combined with structural optimized design elements.
